Cultivated in the extreme high-altitude landscape of Costers del Segre, ACUSP by Castell d’Encus is a masterclass in mountain-grown Pinot Noir. Perched at nearly 1,000 meters in the shadow of the Pyrenees, the vineyards experience cool alpine winds and sharp diurnal shifts that allow this fickle variety to ripen slowly while preserving delicate floral aromas and a bright, vibrant acidity. Partially fermented in medieval stone vats carved directly into the bedrock, ACUSP achieves a silky, mineral-driven freshness and weightless elegance that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest red Burgundies. It is a subtle, hauntingly aromatic red that captures the pure, cool-climate essence of Pyrenean viticulture.
